A dedicated faculty consisting of support staff, teachers, paraprofessionals, custodians, cafeteria and office personnel meet the needs of a school population of approximately 575 students in Kindergarten - 5th grade. Exceptional education programs are provided to students in gifted, speech, learning disabled and alternative education classes. In addition, Headstart, PLACE and AM/PM programs are available to qualified students in preschool.

Our curriculum provides student instruction in basic academic skills as well as activities to enhance critical thinking and problem solving strategies aimed at increasing student achievement. Art, Music, P.E., Science and Media classes are provided to all students and encourages active involvement. Technology complements the curriculum and plays a vital role in the education of students at Sheridan Hills. Students are encouraged to participate in additional activities to supplement learning and are continually recognized for achievement.

Our PTO plays an active role in maintaining high standards and encourages parent participation. PTO plans many activities throughout the year, sponsors fundraising events and assists in providing classroom and school volunteers.

Through the combined efforts of all staff members and our goal for continued student advancement, we have high expectations and create a challenging learning environment where all Sheridan Hills' students can succeed.
